I had never heard of or used Diigo before this class and it is very interesting. I think that the fact that is has a Chrome extension is super helpful and makes it super easy to use. You can highlight practically anything and share any link to your private library or to a group. I think a skill that I not necessarily "learned" from using Diigo, but further developed is collaborating with others. I have had to work and share with others in the past but with Diigo, it is much simpler to create groups, share articles with your annotation, noting importance for others to see, but also being able to comment on others contributions and articles they share. I will definitely recommend Diigo to others in future group actives and can see myself using it in my career, being able to bookmark and annotate articles and resources and can come back to them.
PowerPoint has many awesome capabilities for making presentation interactive and more fun for the audience to watch, so when it comes to learning, PowerPoint can be used to achieve every level on Bloom's Taxonomy. I the first two levels, "remember" and "understand" you can use PowerPoint for a simple presentation and allow the students to recall what the know and introduce new material. For "apply", I would use the animation and button feature to make questions and have the kids choose what they think the answer is with the corresponding button. If they choose correct, they click the button nd it will lead them to a slide saying correct and same if they choose wrong. Once they choose an answer, right or wrong, they can then can have the chance to "analyze" and "evaluate" their choice, which are the next two levels. I then could use PowerPoint to give instructions for them to create individually, based on what the lesson was, reaching the last level of Bloom's Taxonomy.
Technology is becoming more and more important in the world of education, both in teacher professional development and in the classroom. It is important for teachers to be aware and keep track of the new trends of technology. It could help them develop individually as a professional and can benefit their whole class, adding new technologies that help everyone. It could be a challenge to keep up with and find resources that list the technology trends and so this website could be helpful. https://www.educatorstechnology.com lists many articles per day that are related to educational technology and has many categories for narrowing down what the teacher is searching for. It helps highlight the trends of the times because it lists the date of the article, showing what people are currently interested in, not that of 2 years ago.
